I chose a celery green background glass with rainbow iridescent surface & painted the design after removing it from the kiln. This Octopus nightlight is sure to brighten up a corner of your home. First cut all the glass design elements that make up this piece by hand then fire it at 1350 degrees to melt it all together. I chose a celery green background glass with rainbow iridescent surface & painted the design after removing it from the kiln. 

It comes standard with a manual on/off switch or an optional automatic sensor which will turn the bulb on when the room is dark and off when it is light. This feature offers convenience, is energy efficient and works best when placed near a window. A 4 watt bulb is included.

Even my boyfriend keeps commenting how much he likes it. It's a usable piece of art! I will comment that the earring holes can be a little tricky since the leaves are turned all different ways. You have to be strategic with how you line up your long/dangle-y earrings with your studs so everybody fits and can be seen. A little tricky. But not a deal breaker - especially when it's so easy on the eye. The other slight negative is that this really isn't the best necklace holder. I would have thought, "No problem!" But it's a bit awkward. Especially if you actually intend to see all your earrings. You'll end up hanging most of your necklaces from the top most branch - but they slide down into the crevice to stay. Then you've got a lot of overlapping. And trickiness to retrieve the exact necklace you want with ease. However, this is still a fabulous earring tree. I can't say enough good things about it. Love the little basket for miscellaneous. Hair bands, lip gloss, etc.

To be honest arranging the earring on the tree is a bit of a pain, because the leaves tilt in different directions, and you have to play with it a bit to get the earrings to hang the way you would like them, but once you figure it out, they look very nice. I wasn't sure about purchasing the jewelry stand at first (I had my doubts), but those doubts quickly disappeared upon the arrival/unpackaging of the jewelry stand. OVERALL? In general, I was pleased with the product. It wasn't my dream jewelry stand, but it was worth my money and the wait.
